Regulatory Drivers for Real-Time Analytics

On June 17, the US Treasury Department released its Financial Regulatory Reform: A New Foundation whitepaper, providing the clearest view so far into the future of regulation in the United States. This article aims to identify some of the key areas where IT data management will be impacted by new regulations, based on the Treasury Department's whitepaper.

At a higher level, the Treasury's whitepaper outlined proposed regulations to:

1) Promote robust supervision and regulation of financial firms
