The data job market is picking up, according to recruiters—one of whom I recently spoke to seemed genuinely surprised about the level of activity among firms and vendors recruiting for vacant and new positions. Despite the latest crisis of confidence in the markets following the May 6 debacle and regulators’ efforts to respond, this seemingly sudden flurry of hiring activity begs the question whether the financial markets—which so recently still seemed mortally wounded—are finally, truly healing
