Industry Association Debate Escalates Over S&P Cusip-ISIN Charging Issue
GENEVA-The argument over fees being charged by Standard & Poor's (S&P) for databasing of International Security Identification Numbers (ISINs) based on Cusip numbers is escalating, as none of the industry associations involved want to take responsibility for mediating the issue.
This fall, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) sent a letter to the Cusip Service Bureau (CSB), saying it does not want to take charge of the Cusip-ISIN discussion, officials tell Inside Reference
