New Data Governance Framework Pays Off for Northern Trust, Increases Visibility

Chicago - Northern Trust has implemented a data governance framework that has helped increase the visibility of the data management unit and secure funding for projects, Inside Reference Data has learned.

In 2007 Chicago-based Kay Vicino, senior vice-president, operations and technology at Northern Trust, became head of global data management. Since then, the unit has put in place a data governance framework designed to align business, IT and operations.
