Best Sell-Side OMS: Bloomberg TOMS

Firms adopting Bloomberg’s Trade Order Management System (TOMS), which was named best sell-side OMS in this year’s Waters Rankings, find it reduces their operating costs. TOMS provides the ability to optimize the trading work-flow, increase global distribution to markets, manage market risk and improve operational efficiency, according to a spokesperson. For the front office it has a multi-asset trading system with work-flows specifically for traders and salespeople. For the middle office it provides risk management solutions and the ability to view and manage downstream connections. And in the back office it allows for integration with third-party back offices and the downstream systems needed to provide straight-through processing.

1 Bloomberg TOMS (35.2%)
2 SunGard (21.3%)
3 Fidessa (20.3%)
