SEC's Advisory Committee To Focus On Revamping Aspects Of Market Data

NEW YORK: The third meeting of the Securities and Exchange Commission's committee on market information will focus on the possibility of revamping many aspects of market data collection and dissemination, according to committee chairman Joel Seligman.

Questions concerning the consolidation of market information, the linkage of the markets and price competition for data will be raised.

Seligman says that some of the committee members believe that the mandatory consolidation of market information
