Knight-Ridder is preparing to introduce a new interactive data feed with which it hopes to form closer links with system integrators and digital data distribution system vendors. Called simply the Interactive Data Feed (IDF), the new feed runs at 19.2 kilobits/second and requires a Sun Microsystems Inc. Sparcstation 5, 10 or 20 server.
According to Knight-Ridder officials, the vendor is currently developing IDF feedhandlers for Reuters' Triarch 2000 and Teknekron Software Systems Inc.'s Tekne
