Lynch, Jones & Ryan Inc., for example, is suing Wharton School professor Scott Stickel for fraud, injurious falsehood and breach of contract in connection with his research on LJR's Institutional Brokers Estimate System (I/B/E/S) database. LJR is seeking a preliminary and permanent injunction against Stickel enjoining him from distributing his findings.
