The day CEO Jeff Sprecher bought the company, Marcial walked into his office and announced that the programmers, who had elected him as spokesperson, would resign en masse unless they were allowed to rebuild the entire technology stack using Oracle, Java, and the internet. Sprecher acquiesced, then promoted Marcial shortly thereafter.
