BST: Data Salaries Rise as Spend Grows


User firms are paying their market data staff more now that the economy is recovering and budgets are increasing, according to a new salary survey conducted by New York-based consultancy BST America.

Sara Crowe, managing partner at BST, says the survey was originally commissioned by a client to provide a salary scale for its market data staff. The client had found that as the economy improved, candidates were asking for higher salaries, and so wanted the data to use as a benchmark in the process
