RTS Embraces FIX FAST for New Datafeed
The project will take place in two stages. The first step will be a datafeed for distributing data to vendors, which RTS plans to roll out in December, while the second will see RTS launch a separate feed to support trading by member firms in 2009, though it has not yet specified a date for that release.
Whereas the vendor feed will use Multicast technology to help support "high speed and large volumes" of data transfer, the member feed will be delivered via point-to-point connections because
