Smith Barney To Roll Video To Brokers Via Nextgen Platform

Smith Barney has signed on to use Mountain View, Calif.-based Starlight Networks' Starcast software to deliver real-time video-based financial data to some 11,000 financial consultants at 500 locations, across a satellite network. The software will be integrated with the retail brokerage firm's Nextgen broker workstations. The majority of the video content will be analysts' daily briefings, although live news feeds can be delivered through the software.
