Why Siepe won
Dallas-based Siepe wins the Best data governance solution category in this year’s Inside Market Data & Inside Reference Data Awards thanks to its cloud-based Siepe Data Management platform. Data governance tends to mean different things to different organizations, although key attributes of a competent data governance framework invariably include data management rules and processes to ensure data is accurate and reliable, rendering it fit for its intended purpose. To that end, Siepe Data Management is designed to provide portfolio managers with timely, clean and accurate data, allowing them to make the most judicious, transparent, defendable and repeatable investment decisions, their single most important function. The platform also combines firms’ front, middle and back offices into a single interface, providing users with a single source of truth and, by doing so, helping to enhance their workflow efficiency. This win is Siepe’s first-ever success in these awards but, given the maturity of the Siepe Data Management platform and the firms and products/services it beat to the title, who would bet against Siepe doubling up next year?
