AFTAs 2025: Best data provider—Allvue Systems

Product: Private Credit Intelligence

AFTAs 2024

Overview

Miami-based Allvue Systems’ Private Credit Intelligence offering is a dataset specifically developed to deliver transparency and consistency to the private credit market. It is designed to provide investors with access to actionable data that has historically been unavailable. Addressing challenges of opacity and data fragmentation, Private Credit Intelligence allows firms to integrate reliable, audit-ready data into their workflows, analytics and AI-driven tools. By grounding analytics and AI, Allvue enables more reliable analysis, more accurate insights, and more judicious investment decisions.

In today’s private credit market, speed and discipline have to coexist. Allvue’s Nexius Enterprise Data Solutions gave us the covenant benchmarking we needed to push back on aggressive borrower terms with hard data. Instead of relying on anecdotes, we could point to sector-specific benchmarks across leverage, coverage and liquidity. That evidence shifted the negotiation and allowed us to secure stronger protections without losing the deal. For us, it proved how essential real-time data and benchmarking are to scaling responsibly and protecting downside in a competitive market

Problems solved

Private Credit Intelligence is designed to address the challenge of data fragmentation across the private credit market by providing users with a single, comprehensive source of information. Featuring over 200 key performance indicators (KPIs) that span deals, facilities, borrowers and transactions, it allows investors to benchmark terms, monitor risks and evaluate performance with transparency, confidence and accuracy, bringing much-needed clarity to the private credit market. The structured and anonymized dataset is designed to plug directly into users’ workflows, analytics and AI applications.

Secret sauce

Private Credit Intelligence utilizes anonymized and standardized datasets, sourced directly from accounting workflows of over 21,000 funds, covering more than $3 trillion in private credit assets under management. This quality delivers reliable, audit-ready data to clients, which Allvue cites as one of its key differentiators. Private Credit Intelligence features asset-level depth with constituent data spanning borrowers, facilities, transactions and covenants. This granularity is unique in the private credit market, allowing for a level of analysis that static reports or generic data cannot match.

Why they won

Allvue Systems wins its first ever award across all of WatersTechnology’s awards programs, thanks to its impressive Private Credit Intelligence offering. The service does pretty much what it says on the tin—providing much-needed “intelligence” and transparency across the private credit market, an asset class traditionally mired by limited transparency, inconsistent data and complex deal structures.

Private Credit Intelligence delivers investors with a practical answer to the previously mentioned challenges by offering them a dataset that consolidates fragmented information into a single, standardized and audit-ready source they can trust. With more than 200 KPIs covering deals, facilities, borrowers and transactions, it supports consistent benchmarking, risk oversight and performance analysis across portfolios. Its data is sourced directly from accounting workflows, covering some $3 trillion in assets, which provides it with the depth and reliability that secondary datasets cannot match, while its asset-level granularity across covenants, cash flows and structures allow users to analyze complex exposures. Private Credit Intelligence also features seamless integration into data analytics and AI tools—an often-overlooked feature by large numbers of data providers that makes the data they provide market participants that much easier to live with—ensuring the data is immediately usable in clients’ existing daily workflows.

Given the continued interest by institutional investors in the private credit market as an increasingly valuable source of alpha, it seems Allvue Systems is in a particularly good place right now. Who would bet against the firm doubling up in this category in next year’s AFTAs?
