is building an intranet to service its 18,000 employees, says Stanley Witkowski, Pru's director of strategic client initiatives. The intranet will be used to distribute "all kinds of company information," including research reports and memos, he says. (It will "not preclude First Call," he says.) The intranet will be Pru's third Website, says Witkowski. The firm already runs http://www.prusec.com, which Witkowski calls a "virtual branch," and which offers basic marketOnly users who have a paid subscription or are part of a corporate subscription are able to print or copy content.
