Argus Adds ERCOT Electric Data

Energy and commodities data provider Argus Media has expanded its North American electricity forward curves service with electric load data for the North, Houston, South and West zones of the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT), and is including information for nights (7x8) and weekends (2x16) available, in response to growth of oil and gas production in the Permian Basin and from Barnett and Eagle Ford shale increasing electricity demand, resulting in "significant" price spreads between hubs and load zones in west and south Texas, officials say.
