Xignite Grows Market Data Cloud Cover

The new offerings will make it easier for clients to integrate Xignite's data into their systems─whether it be large files of historical trade and quote, valuation or fundamental data via CloudFiles, delivered to applications running in Amazon's cloud, eliminating slower FTP downloads; or real-time streaming equities or FX data to end-user applications via CloudStreaming, eliminating the need for clients to build their own infrastructure to distribute the data.

"Today, 90 percent of the innovation in financial services is running in the cloud, and 90 percent of that is running in Amazon Web Services. FTP is 40 years old this year, and it is hard to believe that antiquated process is still the way most financial firms obtain their data," says Xignite chief executive Stephane Dubois.
