LSE's MillenniumIT Grabs SunGard's Gill as New CEO

MillenniumIT, the London Stock Exchange-owned trading and data distribution technology platform provider, has hired John Mackay "Mack" Gill as chief executive, replacing Tony Weeresinghe, who spent 17 years as CEO and now becomes non-executive chairman to focus on global development of the business.
Based at MillenniumIT's headquarters in Colombo, Sri Lanka, Gill is responsible for overall strategy at the vendor, and reports to LSE Group chief operating operator and chief information officer Antoine Shagoury.
Gill was previously senior vice president of corporate development and strategy at SunGard, prior to which he was president of SunGard global technology and SunGard global services.
