Microsoft Azure Suffers Interruption
For the second time in less than four months Microsoft's cloud-computing platform falters.
At 7:52 p.m. EST the Microsoft Azure status page reported a "partial service interruption" affecting "multiple Azure services" in "multiple regions."
"Microsoft is investigating an issue affecting access to some Microsoft services," a Microsoft spokesperson said. "We are working to restore full access to these services as quickly as possible."
Most of services were restored by 12:50 a.m. EST, with some issues involving storage and websites in northern and western Europe still lingering. As of the writing of this article, the Azure status page reports Azure's core platform components are working properly with some issues in application insights in multiple regions and virtual machines in north and west Europe.
It was the second time in less than four months that Azure has had a major outage, as reported by Reuters.
