Nymex Moves to Multicast with BT Radianz

The New York Mercantile Exchange has updated its serial line market data distribution network to IP multicast technology from network provider BT Radianz to cope with a projected rise in message volumes due to increased electronic trading of Nymex contracts.

Nymex went live with the new infrastructure last month, coinciding with the launch of side-by-side trading of some Nymex energy futures contracts on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange's Globex trading platform.
