Dow Jones Feed Bypasses Network For Dow Vision
THIS WEEK'S LEAD STORIES
Dow Jones & Co. will offer diret head-end access to a composite feed of its neswires to securities industry customers that request it, by passing Dow Jones' own X.25 packet-switched network, the intended delivery mechanism for its Dow Vision composite feed service.
By offering direct access-through what's being called the Dow Jones Composite Feed-the vendor is responding to user concerns about security and, some say, the speed of Dow Vision's network.
