Symmetricom Unveils New Clock Card

Symmetricom, a San Jose, Calif.-based provider of time synchronization systems, is this week releasing general availability for a new clock card that applies timestamps accurate to within 600 nanoseconds of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) to tick data and performance metrics, to help improve strategy development, network monitoring and risk management.

The new SyncPoint PCIe-1000 Precise Time Protocol (PTP) Clock Card for Linux synchronizes its time to the vendor's GPS-referenced SyncServer
