Mount Moves to RBS

The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) has hired foreign exchange (FX) trading veteran Ed Mount as head of FX technology-based trading within the bank's Global Bank & Markets division. In his newly minted London-based role, Mount will report directly to Tim Carrington, head of global FX, and be responsible for technology-based trading across the FX spot and options markets, including high-frequency and algorithmic trading, according to bank officials. Prior to joining RBS, Mount was CEO of Elysium Technology, a position he held since 2007. He also spent 10 years with Elysium Capital Fund before spinning off Elysium Technology.
