The London Stock Exchange Group (LSE) has hired David Nowell to serve as the head of industry regulations and regulatory compliance in its UnaVista division.

Nowell was previously a technical specialist within the UK Financial Services Authority (FSA), based in its transaction monitoring unit. Prior to the FSA, he had stints at Kinetic Partners and Credit Suisse, as well as a 13-year role within Reuters as a product manager.

Nowell is the latest hire from the UK regulator, which is being split into two component parts this year. He joins colleague Alexander Justham, who was previously director of markets and now serves as the CEO of the regulated exchange, as part of a wider senior-level reshuffle.
