BondDesk Group, operator of an odd-lot fixed income alternative trading system (ATS) based in New York, says it has appointed John Bagley to lead its institutional and retail trading platforms as well as evolve its ATS offering.

Bagley, whose role will be senior managing director and president of BondDesk Trading, comes to the firm with 25 years experience in the bonds markets, most recently serving as head of municipal trading, underwriting, and institutional sales in a long stint at UBS and, before it was bought by the Swiss bank, Paine Webber.

"John brings the right mix of skills and experience to help us expand our leadership position. With market structure and regulatory issues pushing an evolution of the fixed income market like never before, we are confident that John is the right person to lead our team and we look forward to his contributions," says BondDesk's CEO, Kim Bang.
