Market data and telecom contract and cost monitoring software vendor MDSL has opened a second UK office in Birmingham to house a growing managed services team, which provides outsourced market data management functions to financial firms, in addition to its primary function supporting clients of the vendor's TEM Vision telecoms product.

MDSL chief executive Ben Mendoza says the office will provide "near-shore" support for existing UK clients, marketing manager Miles Barry says the vendor hopes the new office will help expand its presence among financial firms in towns and cities across the Midlands and Northern England seeking market data management tools.
