FIX Trading Community Updates Bond and Swaps Platform Guidelines
Meanwhile, the new guidelines for cash bonds now support the two-step negotiation process for spread trading in US credit markets, the auction trading model for wholesale markets' US treasuries trading, new post-trade allocations for fixed income, and how each of those new functions is supported by FIX's 4.4 messaging standard.
"Being able to contribute to the guidelines' development has proven very valuable, and they have been designed so as to accurately apply to existing business workflows, which has significantly eased the implementation process for the marketplace as whole," says Daniel Marcus, CEO of Trad-X, the fixed income trading platform of interdealer broker Tradition, and an early adopter of the new standards.
