Hammonds, who will start on Nov. 25, joins from Boeing, where she has served as CIO since the beginning of 2011. She has been with Boeing in various other roles since 2008. Prior to that she served stints at Dell and Ford Motor Company.

She will report to chief operating officer Henry Ritchotte and will work alongside Jim Turley, who is the other co-head of GTO.

Hammonds will replace Anthony McCarthy, who "has decided to leave Deutsche Bank to pursue other career opportunities" according to a release. McCarthy will step down on November 15, but he will continue to provide transitional advice.

McCarthy took over as the global head of technology in 2005. In 2009, McCarthy was named the Best CIO in Waters' annual American Financial Technology Awards (AFTAs).
