He will be responsible for the development of current and new Abacus security solutions that help financial institutions to protect their enterprise systems, applications and data from cyber intrusions.

Most recently, Lozada was the director of information security at publishing house Condé Nast, where he was responsible for overseeing the security and risk management for all digital and technology operations, and has also held senior management positions for technology and information security across several industries, including posts at Sony Music Entertainment, Vonage and Accenture.

“Brian’s expertise in information security is a huge asset for Abacus at a time in which cybersecurity has become a top focus of our clients,” said Chris Grandi, CEO at Abacus Group. “The introduction of mobile devices and new technology has fueled the need for fund managers to effectively filter and detect malicious activities. Firms need to establish best practices for internal and external communications and reinforce procedures for better data protection.”

Lozada will be based in New York.
