NRI Conducts Study on Blockchain for Securities

Tokyo-based vendor says the study will be completed by January 2016.

The study will be done with Nomura Securities, in addition to other fintechs, and will investigate opportunities for the practical application of the distributed ledger technology.

Blockchain has been a hot topic in financial services this year. In August, Symbiont issued the first smart securities on bitcoin blockchain as part of a presentation of its product.
