Aprile takes role as regulation requires institutional investors to review their businesses.

Societe Generale Securities Services (SGSS) has appointed Olivier Aprile as head of institutional sales for asset managers and institutional investors in France.

Reporting to Jean-François Marchand, head of sales in France at SGSS, Aprile is based in Paris and his appointment is effective immediately.

"The structural and organizational changes progressively required by regulators, like the Solvency II Directive, are pushing institutional investors to review their business organizations," says Marchand. Aprile's role will be to accompany clients in analyzing their businesses to determine where outsourcing solutions would best fit their needs.

Aprile joins SGSS from Caceis, where he was head of sales for a client base of management companies, insurers, mutual funds and pension funds. He began his career at Crédit Lyonnais. In September 1999, he moved to Gestitres (now Natixis Eurotitres). Aprile went on to join IXIS IS, which later became Caceis, in June 2006.
