GreySpark Partners with Velocimetrics
Research and consultancy firm GreySpark Partners has announced a strategic partnership with Velocimetrics for latency measurement.
GreySpark will use Velocimetrics' proprietary software for the measurement of performance in distributed environments. The issue of latency measurement, and the questions of how and where it is analyzed have been research topics and areas of specialization for GreySpark of late.
The tool kit will allow GreySpark to analyze informational flows in high-frequency environments, in real-time. This information can be fed back to desk traders in order to illustrate the effectiveness of their information technology network and infrastructures.
"When we were evaluating potential partners specifically for the latency research, Velocimetrics was a clear front runner, and well suited to the task we had at hand," says Frédéric Ponzo, managing partner at GreySpark. "The ability to integrate the solutions into multiple different hardware and software environments, along with the interface being highly intuitive with a strong graphical, drag and drop functionality, meant that our research into latency has only been enhanced. We look forward to working more closely with Velocimetrics and its experts on future projects."
