UK-based Kurtosys Systems, a provider of software for client reporting, fund fact sheet generation and fund analysis tools, has hired Stephen Zucknovich in New York as managing director of product management and strategy, responsible for overseeing the packaging of the vendor's products and technologies.

Zucknovich was previously vice president and head of architecture for Thomson Reuters' Financial and Risk division, which he joined following Reuters' 2003 acquisition of research aggregator Multex, where he was chief technologist for its Multex Express product.

He will take up his new role on Sept. 4, and report to Kurtosys president Jeff Hendren, who worked with Zucknovich in former roles at Reuters and Multex.
