The platform is fully integrated with the FactSet workstation, allowing users to jump between conversations and live data using shortcut keys. It was designed to let users connect and communicate between consumer, enterprise, and professional IM networks.
Through partnerships with third-party providers, FactSet IM can integrate with IM Proxy compliance solutions and SaaS-based archival and reporting solutions.
"Across the firm we already depend on FactSet Workstation and our trading desk relies on the AOL network to communicate with the market; it was only logical to roll out FactSet IM," explains Dean Christians, VP of trading at Montag & Caldwell. "The combination of the FactSet workstation and FactSet IM provide us with an important edge in a compliance friendly manner."
