Cerutti Departs From Euronext
Cerutti eyes new challenge as chairman and CEO at Altran.
Euronext has announced the departure of Cerutti, its CEO and chairman of the managing board, who has decided to take a new position as chairman and CEO at global consultancy Altran.
Cerutti was responsible for driving the pan-European exchange through its difficult separation from IntercontinentalExchange following the IPO. He had to reposition the group as a leading exchange operator in Europe, focusing on funding for SMEs and increasing financial performance, while bringing together a strong management team with deep knowledge of the European markets.
"I am confident that Euronext will continue to create outstanding shareholder and client value as a result of the strong base which has been established," Cerutti says. "As Euronext anticipated, capital markets in Europe are at the beginning of a new cycle, and the positive trends in the sector, which will boost the company’s strategy, are continuing.”
The Board says it will task the Governance and Nomination Committee to start the search process for a successor, although Cerutti ensured he will help for a smooth transition over the next few months.
