Jolly has been with the bank since 1997, most recently serving as global head of channel and enterprise services for Citi treasury and trade solutions, a position he has held since 2010. He will replace Ebru Pakcan, who was recently named the firm's treasury and trade solutions (TTS) Europe, Middle East and Africa region head.

Jolly will remain based in New York and a member of the TTS global executive committee. He also sits on the SWIFT corporate advisory board.

In October, Jolly spoke to WatersTechnology about banks considering digital currencies.
