Asia Awards 2026: Best KYC/AML service—Fenergo
Fenergo wins best KYC/AML service in the 2026 Asia Awards.
Overview
Fenergo’s FinCrime Operating System (OS) is an intelligent, AI-driven platform designed to orchestrate and automate KYC/AML events to deliver faster, smarter and more secure outcomes across the client lifecycle. Capital markets firms must meet various regulatory obligations across the multiple jurisdictions they operate in or else risk receiving financial penalties that can lead to multi-year operational strain, technology overhauls, and significant reputational damage. Firms are also under increased pressure to provide ever more streamlined experiences for their customers.
With Fenergo, we’ve achieved a unified KYC approach across TMF globally, a major milestone. It’s easier for our clients to do business with us and our employees appreciate the intuitive platform. This consistency, combined with automation, positions us to deliver up to 40% efficiency gains
Ellen Stiene, market head, North America and the Caribbean, TMF Group
The solution
Fenergo’s FinCrime OS addresses capital markets firms’ KYC/AML challenges by combining onboarding, KYC, screening, identity and verification (ID&V) and transaction monitoring under a single consolidated view in one platform. This improves auditability and regulatory confidence by eliminating silos and duplication across the entire client lifecycle. An agentic AI layer with purpose-built agents automates labor-intensive processes, meeting firms’ needs to manage faster and more accurate KYC/AML processes and more responsive client services.
Secret sauce
Fenergo has been delivering digital KYC/AML solutions and experiences since 2009, demonstrating a long-standing focus on complex corporate and institutional onboarding, deep regulatory integrations, and lifecycle orchestration. The platform continues to act as a foundation for KYC/AML modernization programs for over 80 international financial services clients. Fenergo has also developed its agentic AI capabilities, introducing sophisticated AI agents into the platform, capable of going beyond simple automation and autonomously carrying out labor-intensive tasks.
Recent milestones
In May 2025, Fenergo launched its FinCrime OS platform with an agentic AI layer to enhance productivity. Autonomous AI agents execute tasks quickly, accurately and with full auditability, turning KYC/AML operations into a scalable, flexible business advantage. AI agents go beyond basic automation to deliver substantial efficiencies. These new AI capabilities are already significantly streamlining KYC/AML operations for clients, reducing costs by up to 93%, while also cutting review times by up to 45%, and document handling by up to 72%.
We’re proud to be named best KYC/AML service at the WatersTechnology Asia Awards 2026. This recognition validates our agentic AI-first strategy and reinforces Fenergo’s position as the market leader in AI-powered KYC and AML in the Asia-Pacific region. It’s a testament to our proven ability to deliver measurable outcomes for financial institutions, driving operational efficiency, boosting productivity and simplifying compliance at scale across Asia
Cengiz Kiamil, managing director, Asia-Pacific, Fenergo
Future objectives
Fenergo’s growth strategy targets AI expansion and accelerated upsell/cross-sell opportunities across the investment banking, asset management and asset servicing sectors. Geographically, the company is prioritizing growth in Asia-Pacific, followed by the Americas and selected EMEA regions. Product expansion centers on the firm’s FinCrime OS, native transaction monitoring, and an agentic AI layer to help automate KYC and AML functions. Future growth includes organic innovation and selective M&A to deepen fraud, screening and data capabilities.
Why they won
Dublin-based Fenergo wins the best KYC/AML service category in this year’s WatersTechnology Asia Awards, thanks to its outstanding FinCrime OS offering, designed to help its clients manage their various KYC and AML processes across the entire client lifecycle. For capital markets firms operating across multiple jurisdictions, balancing increasingly onerous and complex regulatory obligations with demands for faster client experiences is a perennial headache. Fenergo addresses those pressures by combining onboarding, KYC, screening, identity verification and transaction monitoring within a single platform. Not only does it streamline KYC and AML processes; it also enhances auditability and confidence that regulatory mandates have been satisfactorily met. A significant factor behind Finergo’s win in this category is its growing use of agentic AI, the current darling of the industry that is already transforming large numbers of existing business processes. Rather than simply automating workflows, Fenergo’s AI agents are designed to autonomously manage labor-intensive compliance functions, helping firms reduce operational overheads and allowing them to deploy staff to higher-value roles, while also accelerating review times and improving accuracy. Fenergo combines deep regulatory expertise and an enviable track record of successful implementations and happy clients in an area of the industry traditionally mired in complexity and opaqueness. Don’t be surprised to see Fenergo in the winners’ circle of these and other WatersTechnology awards in the future.
