When Jane Platt joined Reuters as head of its asset management division in February 2001 from Barclays Stockbrokers, her mandate was to increase the firm’s buy-side market share from 6% to 9% by 2006. Platt was unable to say whether Reuters is on course to achieve this, but she did share her thoughts on her first year in office with Victor Anderson
