Risk Management Growing on the Buy Side, Becoming More Accessible

NEW YORK--More and more investment management firms are turning to third-party risk management vendors. In turn, the buy side, despite its limited resources, represents a growing share of the revenue pie for each of the vendors surveyed for this article.

For instance, two years ago, 20 percent of Askari’s revenue came from the buy side. Today, about 80 percent is buy side. Peter Davies, president of Askari, expects that percentage to rise to nearly 100 percent over the next five years.
