In what must be one of the most high-profile construction projects of recent times, Goldman Sachs is set to build its new world headquarters in Manhattan across the road from Ground Zero.

After years of rumors, the tight-lipped securities firm is committing to the project that will most likely cost in excess of $2 billion and take years to complete.
