Cinnober Names Sjöberg as CTO
Financial technology provider promotes staff as senior figures take advisory roles.

Hans Sjöberg has taken over the senior technology post at the vendor, succeeding long-serving CTO Peter Lenti, one of the firm’s co-founders. Sjöberg joined the company in 2012, when Cinnober acquired Nomura’s Swedish technology development center, which had belonged to Lehman prior to 2008. Prior to his elevation to the CTO role, Sjöberg was a software architect and project manager for Cinnober.
The company has also promoted Taraneh Derayati to head of sales. She will be responsible for leading sales of exchange and real-time clearing technology to market operators and clearinghouses globally. Derayati joined the company in 2009 and has served as a business analyst and project manager.
Lenti will remain with the company in a senior technology architect and advisory role. Ulf Axman, the previous head of sales, will also remain at Cinnober in a senior sales advisory role, CEO Veronica Augustsson said, in a statement announcing the promotions.
