Peter Schurau, CEO of Capco Europe and APAC, says the company is eyeing further expansion in the Asia-Pacific region.

Financial services-dedicated technology consultancy Capco has announced the opening of a new office in Singapore, expanding the company’s presence in the Asia-Pacific region.

Capco, which is already present in Bangalore, India, and Hong Kong, has also announced the appointment of Bao-Viet Lê and Chuck Bokman to lead the Singapore operation. Bokman will take charge of the Capco's wealth management consulting, while Lê will lead the banking practice in Singapore.

The firm has stated it intends to model its Singapore operations on its existing Hong Kong office, which was opened in February of last year with a dedicated focus on the financial industry.

"Our experience in Hong Kong strongly validates our commitment to Asia Pacific," says Peter Schurau, EVP FIS and CEO of Cacpo Europe and APAC. "This is clearly a region of continuing growth opportunities and, looking beyond Singpore, we already have a strong presence in Thailand. Given the existing profiles in these markets of our parent company, FIS, and Clear2Pay (acquired by FIS in late 2014) there is every reason to believe we will continue our expansion to Australasia."
