Totan Outsources Voice Trading to BT

BT Global Banking and Financial Markets has announced that Tokyo-based Totan IT has outsourced its private network for voice trading services to the company.
Totan IT is a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Totan Holdings, a diversified inter-dealer broker. The outsourcing arrangement will give clients access to BT's voice trading technologies, on top of services already offered. It also extends Totan and BT's current working arrangement, with the latter having provided turrets, call logging and IP voice recording systems for over a decade to date.
"BT is well-known for its expertise in networking, and we have enjoyed a long standing relationship with them," says Kiyomi Saito, CEO at Totan IT. "We have turned to BT as our preferred choice to take over the operation of our private network community voice trader services so that we can focus on support of our core brokerage activity. We will be working closely with BT to make sure that, together, we provide a seamless switch over for our customers. By connecting our existing voice trading services to BT's worldwide network, we are leveraging BT's investments in Japan and ensuring our customers have greater access to international investment opportunities both into and out of Tokyo."
