Orc is owned by Nordic Capital Fund VII, which has offices across Europe.

Orc Trade Access is aimed at replacing multiple vendor connectivity applications with a single product, which is capable of integrating with third-party order management and execution management systems (OMS and EMS), or in-house software. It bundles access to several services for data delivery, including Orc's Instrument Service for tick size structure, and its Order and Market Data Services.

"We have developed Orc Trade Access to meet the needs of firms who are looking to consolidate their market access solutions to one vendor in order to reduce maintenance costs related to connectivity," says Jesper Alfredsson, vice president of product management at Orc. "Orc Trade Access also provides benefits as an alternative to in-house development of connectivity solutions, enabling firms to focus their development efforts on improving core business trading logic and other functions that provide higher return on investment."
