Fiera Capital Extends Use of Fidessa IMS to Cover Fixed Income, Derivatives Next
Fiera Capital has deployed Fidessa's IMS across its fixed-income operations and intends to extend it to cover derivatives later this year.
Fidesa's IMS provides Fiera Capital with a single platform to oversee its workflow across all business lines, locations and asset classes. It includes compliance, order management, portfolio management and connectivity to allow the asset manager to scale its business and accelerate its time to market.
"We are diversifying and expanding our investment services in order to meet our clients' objectives and selecting the right technology platform to underpin this broader operation is very important," says Maher Hemissi, vice president, IT and middle office at Fiera Capital. "We have worked with Fidessa for over a decade and their technology has been instrumental in supporting our ambitious North American growth plans and asset class expansion."
As a managed service platform, Fidessa'a IMS helped Fiera Capital reducing its operational complexity and costs by delegating the task of maintaining the technology infrastructure, managing hardware requirements and overseeing disaster recovery. Fiera Capital can run its FIX engines and other connectivity components in Fidessa's data centers and therefore can benefit from the latest technical and functional enhancements.
