Reuters Revenues Show Unimpressive RI Figures; 3000 Installations Slow

EARNINGS REPORT

LONDON--Reuters’ fourth quarter and year-end results, announced last week, were rather uninspiring with the Reuters Information division noting only a modest increase of six per cent from 1998, (four per cent at comparable rates). The real sizzle of the meeting came from chief executive, Peter Job’s long awaited plan of action and way forward for Reuters and the Internet (see related story, this issue).
