Dataline, Inc. Of Omaha Goes Public, Hopes To Raise $5 Million For Futures Quote Service

THIS MONTH'S LEAD STORIES

Another quote vendor is going public. Dataline, Inc. of Omaha is trying to raise $5.4 million to support development of its FM-delivered commodity quote service in the midwest.

The company's market is the lowest end of the commodity quote business -- individual farmers. Dataline doesn't offer real-time data. Instead, it offers pages of 10-minute delayed information from the futures exchanges, plus cash grain and livestock prices, and news and weather updates.

Dataline charges its customers $17.50
