Ashton-Tate Takes Aim At Lotus Signal, Plans Quote Processing Capabilities For Framework II
THIS MONTH'S LEAD STORIES
In a move aimed at competing with arch-rival Lotus Development Corp., Ashton-Tate, Inc. plans to add real-time market data and news capabilities to its Framework II integrated PC software. The first quote stream Framework users will tap is Xpress, the cable-delivered data package one-third owned by McGraw-Hill (MTR, October 1985).
Software to bridge the incoming Xpress data feed into Framework is being written at Boulder, CO-based Satellite Information Systems Co. (Siscom), an Ashton-Tate
