Reuters To End PTW & ATW Development; RTW, Kobra May Pave Way For Next Phase

In what, for many, will represent the end of an era in Reuters' desktop strategy, officials at the company have confirmed to Waters that it will discontinue the development and marketing of the Personal Trader Workstation (PTW) and its Unix-based cousin, the Advanced Trader Workstation (ATW).
Although initial industry reaction has been one of concern, Reuters says it has a clear strategy for replacing the functionality of each product.
In place of ATW, Reuters will now concentrate its development
