Sell-Side Technology Awards 2014: Best Sell-Side Compliance Product — Citicom
“It is highly secure and is a non-disruptive technology that brings value to voice and text data, which is one of the things that makes it truly unique,” Whiteman says. While Assure was launched in October 2013, over the last few months, Citicom has partnered with a number of third parties to grow its client base. In December, it teamed up with consultancy Doran Jones for a “go-to-market” outlet in the US, tapping into Doran Jones’ established network. Later that month, Citicom joined forces with Tango Networks to provide a network-based mobile voice-recording solution that integrates Tango’s mobile call recording into Assure.
Voice recording regulations have been most onerous in Europe and have spread across the Atlantic to the US. The firm is now looking to grow its presence in the fragmented Asian market after launching its first office in Sydney.
“We are about to open our first Asia-Pacific office down in Sydney, Australia, to expand our presence in the region, in addition to here in the US and in the UK and Europe,” Whiteman says.
Citicom has focused on mobile device management, solutions to help firms implement bring-your-own-device (BYOD) strategies, and voice and data capture. The Assure platform’s greatest strength is its ability to provide proactive, real-time data analysis, including instant messages, emails, text messages, mobile and fixed keywords, inappropriate terms, and emotional sentiment.
“This type of recognition as a winner of the compliance category in the Sell-Side Technology Awards should certainly help our profile around the world, since regulatory and compliance issues surrounding voice recordings are becoming a major area of interest for financial institutions and regulators around the globe,” Whiteman says.
“Assure is highly secure and is a non-disruptive technology that brings value to voice and text data, which is one of the things that makes it truly unique.” —Mark Whiteman, Citicom Solutions
